Rinse the tilapia fillets under cold water and pat them dry with a paper towel.
Mince the garlic cloves and finely grate the ginger. Set aside.
In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, soy sauce, red pepper flakes, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.
