Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 6 slices Bacon
  • 3 Garlic cloves
  • 1 teaspoon Red chili flakes
  • 28 ounces Crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 0.25 cup Fresh basil leaves
  • 1 pound Cooked pasta of choice

Directions

Step 1

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Step 2

Add the bacon slices to the skillet and cook until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the bacon from the skillet and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess grease. Once cooled, chop the bacon into small pieces and set aside.

In the same skillet with the remaining bacon fat, reduce the heat to low and add the minced garlic. Cook for 1 minute, stirring frequently, until fragrant.
