Ingredients

  • 1 pound Pork tenderloin
  • 3 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Honey
  • 1 tablespoon Rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame oil
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha sauce
  • 0.5 teaspoon Chinese five-spice powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons Water
  • 2 stalks Green onions
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame seeds

Directions

Step 1

Trim any excess fat or silver skin from the pork tenderloin and pat it dry with paper towels.

Step 2

In a medium bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, Sriracha sauce, and Chinese five-spice powder.

Step 3

Place the pork tenderloin in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish, then pour the marinade over it. Seal the bag or cover the dish and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.

Step 4

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Step 5

Heat a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Add a drizzle of oil, and once hot, sear the marinated pork tenderloin for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned.

Step 6

Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake the pork for 15-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reads 145°F (63°C) on a meat thermometer.

Step 7

While the pork is cooking, pour the remaining marinade into a small saucepan. Bring it to a boil over medium heat, then reduce to a simmer.

Step 8

In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with water to create a slurry. Add the slurry to the simmering marinade, stirring until the sauce thickens. Remove from heat.

Step 9

Remove the pork tenderloin from the oven and allow it to rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Step 10

Slice the pork into thin medallions and place them on a serving platter. Drizzle the thickened sauce over the top.

Step 11

Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving. Enjoy with steamed rice or stir-fried vegetables.
