Ingredients

  • 12 oz spaghetti
  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • 28 oz canned crushed tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 0.5 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 0.25 cup parmesan cheese, grated (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Bring a large pot of salted water to boil. Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.

Step 2

While the pasta cooks, cut the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces and season lightly with a pinch of salt and pepper.

Step 3

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken pieces and cook until browned on all sides and fully cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
