Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Chicken breasts (boneless, skinless)
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Salted butter
  • 3 cloves Garlic cloves (minced)
  • 0.5 cup Chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons Capers (drained)
  • 1 piece Lemon (sliced thinly)
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley (chopped, optional for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Place the chicken breasts on a cutting board and gently pound them with a meat mallet to even out their thickness.

Step 2

In a small bowl, mix the Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Coat each chicken breast evenly with the seasoning mixture on both sides.

Step 3

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Step 4

Cook the chicken breasts for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F/74°C). Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
