Ingredients

  • 500 grams Prawns (peeled and deveined)
  • 4 pieces Garlic cloves (minced)
  • 3 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cumin
  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground coriander
  • 0.25 teaspoon Cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh lemon juice
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 4 pieces Lemon wedges (for serving)

Directions

Step 1

Rinse the prawns under cold water and pat them dry with a paper towel. Set aside.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine minced garlic, olive oil, paprika, ground cumin, ground coriander, cayenne pepper (if using), lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to form a marinade.

Step 3

Add the prawns to the marinade and toss them until they are evenly coated. Cover the bowl and let the prawns marinate for 10 minutes while you prepare other ingredients.

Step 4

Heat a large skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat. Once the pan is hot, add the marinated prawns in a single layer. Do not overcrowd the pan; cook in batches if necessary.

Step 5

Cook the prawns on one side for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and slightly charred, then flip them and cook for another 2-3 minutes until fully cooked through.

Step 6

Transfer the cooked prawns to a serving plate and garnish with chopped fresh parsley.

Step 7

Serve the spiced prawns with lemon wedges on the side for an extra burst of freshness. Enjoy them as a standalone appetizer or as part of a main dish with rice, salad, or crusty bread.
