Ingredients

  • 4 pieces black tea bags
  • 6 cups water
  • 2 sticks cinnamon sticks
  • 5 pieces whole cloves
  • 1 piece orange
  • 1 piece lemon
  • 0.25 cup honey
  • 10 pieces fresh mint leaves
  • 4 cups ice cubes
  • 2 cups sparkling water
  • 5 pieces orange slices (for garnish)
  • 5 pieces lemon slices (for garnish)
  • 4 sprigs mint sprigs (for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

In a medium saucepan, bring 6 cups of water to a boil.

Step 2

Reduce the heat to low and add the black tea bags, cinnamon sticks, and whole cloves to the water.

Simmer for 5 minutes, then remove the saucepan from heat.

Step 4

Slice the orange and lemon in half. Squeeze the juice from one-half of each into the saucepan, then slice the remaining halves for garnish.

Stir the honey into the tea mixture until fully dissolved.

Let the spiced tea cool to room temperature, then strain it into a large pitcher to remove the spices and tea bags.
