Ingredients

  • 8 ounces Lump crab meat
  • 8 ounces Cooked shrimp (peeled, deveined, and chopped)
  • 0.5 cups Mayonnaise
  • 0.25 cups Plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 stalks Celery (finely diced)
  • 0.5 cups Red bell pepper (finely diced)
  • 2 stalks Green onions (sliced thin)
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 1 teaspoons Old Bay seasoning
  • 0.5 teaspoons Garlic powder
  • 0.25 teaspoons Cayenne pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoons Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoons Black pepper
  • 4 cups Mixed greens or lettuce leaves (optional, for serving)

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, gently combine the lump crab meat and chopped shrimp. Set aside.

Step 2

In a separate smaller bowl, prepare the dressing by whisking together the mayonnaise, Greek yogurt, lemon juice, Old Bay seasoning, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper until smooth and well incorporated.

Step 3

Add the diced celery, red bell pepper, sliced green onions, and chopped parsley to the seafood mixture.

Step 4

Pour the prepared dressing over the crab and shrimp mixture and gently toss until everything is evenly coated. Be careful not to break apart the crab meat.

Step 5

Taste the salad and adjust seasoning, if necessary, by adding more salt, pepper, or lemon juice to your preference.

Step 6

Chill the salad in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.

Step 7

When ready to serve, scoop the spiced crab and shrimp salad onto a bed of mixed greens or lettuce leaves, or serve it on its own.

Step 8

Garnish with additional parsley, lemon wedges, or a sprinkle of Old Bay seasoning, if desired.
