  • 400 g Spelt flour
  • 1 tsp Baking soda
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 300 ml Buttermilk
  • 2 tbsp Honey (optional)
  • 2 tbsp Oats (for topping)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the spelt flour, baking soda, and salt. Whisk together to evenly distribute the ingredients.

Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients. Pour in the buttermilk and, if using, honey. Mix gently using your hands or a wooden spoon until the dough just comes together. Avoid overworking the dough to keep it light.
