Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons Baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoons Salt
  • 0.5 cups Unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cups Granulated sugar
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1 teaspoons Vanilla extract
  • 0.75 cups Milk
  • 10 drops Green food coloring
  • 3 cups Buttercream frosting
  • 0.25 cups Edible glitter (green or gold)
  • 0.5 cups Assorted festive sprinkles
  • 2 tablespoons Powdered sugar (for dusting, optional)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a silicone Christmas tree-shaped mold or 12-cupcake tin.

Step 2

In a medium bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

Step 3

In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar together using a hand mixer or stand mixer until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.

Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk in two parts. Begin and end with the dry ingredients.

Add the green food coloring, a few drops at a time, until the batter reaches your desired tree-green color. Mix until evenly combined.
