Ingredients

  • 400 g spaghettini
  • 300 g crab meat (fresh or canned)
  • 4 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 red chili, finely chopped
  • 1 lime, zested and juiced
  • 2 tbsp parsley, finely chopped
  • 0 to taste sea salt
  • 0 to taste black pepper
  • 50 g fresh parmesan cheese, grated (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the spaghettini according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining and set the pasta aside.

Step 2

While the pasta cooks, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Step 3

Add the minced garlic and chopped chili to the skillet. Cook for about 1-2 minutes, stirring frequently, until fragrant but not browned.

Step 4

Stir in the crab meat and cook for 2-3 minutes to warm through.

Step 5

Add the lime zest and juice to the skillet, stirring to combine. Season with sea salt and black pepper to taste.

Step 6

Add the cooked spaghettini to the skillet, tossing to coat the pasta evenly in the sauce. If needed, add a splash of the reserved pasta water to loosen the sauce.

Step 7

Turn off the heat and mix in the chopped parsley.

Step 8

Serve immediately, garnished with grated parmesan cheese if desired, along with extra parsley and lime wedges for presentation.
