  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)
  • 1 lemon (zested and juiced)

  • 120 milliliters reserved pasta water

Directions

Step 1

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve 120 milliliters (about 1/2 cup) of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti and set aside.

While the pasta cooks, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the chopped red onion to the skillet and sauté for 3-4 minutes until softened and translucent.
