Ingredients

  • 150 grams Sev (chickpea flour noodles)
  • 2 tablespoons Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 1 large Onion
  • 2 medium Tomatoes
  • 1 small Green chili
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger-garlic paste
  • 0.5 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon Red chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons Coriander powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 500 milliliters Water
  • 3 tablespoons Coriander leaves

Directions

Step 1

Finely chop the onion, tomatoes, and green chili.

Step 2

Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Allow them to splutter.

Step 3

Add the chopped onion to the pan and sauté until golden brown.

Step 4

Stir in the ginger-garlic paste and sauté for another minute until the raw smell goes away.

Step 5

Add chopped tomatoes and green chili. Cook until the tomatoes become soft and mushy.

Mix in turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Stir well and let the spices cook for 2 minutes.
