Ingredients

  • 500 grams beef sirloin steak
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 2 medium carrot
  • 1 large onion
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley

Directions

Step 1

Begin by slicing the beef sirloin steak into thin strips, about 1 cm thick. Set aside.

Step 2

Slice the red and green bell peppers into thin strips, approximately 5 cm long.

Step 3

Peel the carrots and cut into thin sticks or julienne strips.

Step 4

Finely chop the onion and mince the garlic cloves.

Step 5

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.

Step 6

Add the beef strips to the skillet and season with salt, black pepper, and paprika. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until the beef is browned and cooked through. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.

Step 7

In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Add the onions and garlic, and sauté for 2 minutes until the onions are translucent and fragrant.

Step 8

Add the bell peppers and carrots to the skillet. Stir-fry the vegetables for about 5-7 minutes or until they start to soften yet remain slightly crisp.

Step 9

Return the cooked beef strips to the skillet. Add the apple cider vinegar and honey, stirring well to coat the beef and vegetables evenly.

Step 10

Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.

Step 11

Remove from heat and garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.

Step 12

Serve the soy-free beef strips with vegetables hot, alongside rice or fresh bread.
