Ingredients

  • 200 grams Tapioca flour
  • 50 grams All-purpose flour
  • 300 milliliters Chicken broth (ensure soy-free)
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Cilantro, chopped
  • 1 liter Water
  • 100 milliliters Peanut sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Chili sauce (optional)

Directions

Step 1

In a mixing bowl, combine tapioca flour and all-purpose flour.

Step 2

In a saucepan, bring chicken broth to a simmer over medium heat. Add minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Stir well.

Step 3

Gradually add the hot broth to the flour mixture, mixing continuously with a wooden spoon until it forms a dough that can be handled.

Step 4

Allow the dough to cool slightly, then knead it on a floured surface until smooth and pliable.

Step 5

Divide the dough into small balls, approximately 2-3 cm in diameter.

Step 6

Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Gently drop in the tapioca balls and cook for about 10 minutes or until they float to the surface and appear translucent.

Step 7

Remove the balls with a slotted spoon and transfer them to a steamer.

Step 8

Steam the balls over boiling water for an additional 10 minutes to ensure even cooking.

Step 9

Once cooked, transfer the steamed balls to a serving plate. Drizzle with peanut sauce and garnish with chopped cilantro.

Step 10

Serve warm with chili sauce on the side, if desired, for an extra kick.
