Ingredients

  • 2 cups Basmati Rice
  • 4 cups Water
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 medium Onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Parsley, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Dill, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon Zest

Directions

Step 1

Rinse the basmati rice in cold water until the water runs clear. Drain well and set aside.

In a medium saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat.

Add the finely chopped onion to the saucepan, stirring occasionally, and cook until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

Add the minced garlic to the onions and sauté for another minute until fragrant.
