Ingredients

  • 1 cup Green lentils
  • 1 medium, diced Onion
  • 2 minced Garlic cloves
  • 0.5 cup, chopped Cilantro
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Smoked paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Chickpea flour
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Water
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice

Directions

Step 1

Rinse the green lentils thoroughly under cold water and drain.

Step 2

In a medium saucepan, add the lentils and 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.

Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes until lentils are tender but not mushy. Drain any excess water.
