Ingredients

  • 4 6-ounce salmon fillets
  • 0.5 cups bourbon
  • 0.25 cups honey
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 scallions, chopped

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2

In a mixing bowl, combine bourbon, honey, apple cider vinegar, lemon juice, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, salt, and black pepper. Whisk well until all ingredients are thoroughly mixed.

Step 3

Place the salmon fillets in a shallow baking dish and pour the prepared bourbon glaze over the top, ensuring each fillet is well coated.

Step 4

Let the salmon marinate in the glaze at room temperature for about 10 minutes to absorb the flavors.

Step 5

Heat olive oil in a large oven-proof skillet over medium-high heat.

Step 6

Once the skillet is hot, remove the salmon fillets from the marinade (reserve the marinade) and place them skin-side down in the skillet. Sear the salmon for 2-3 minutes until the skin is crispy.

Step 7

Carefully flip the salmon fillets over and cook for another 2 minutes.

Step 8

Pour the reserved marinade over the salmon fillets, then transfer the skillet to the preheated oven.

Step 9

Bake the salmon in the oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

Step 10

Remove the skillet from the oven, and let the salmon rest for a minute.

Step 11

Before serving, spoon the glaze over the salmon and garnish with chopped scallions.

Step 12

Serve immediately with your favorite side dishes.
