Ingredients

  • 1 pound Beef Tenderloin
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 2 tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • 1 teaspoon Honey
  • 1 large, minced Garlic Clove
  • 1 teaspoon, grated Ginger Root
  • 1 teaspoon Sea Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 2 stalks, chopped Green Onion
  • 3 thinly sliced Radish
  • 1 tablespoon, toasted Sesame Seeds

Directions

Step 1

Start by preparing the beef tenderloin. Pat it dry with paper towels and season all sides generously with sea salt and black pepper.

Step 2

Heat a large skillet over high heat and add the olive oil. Once the oil is shimmering hot, sear the beef on all sides for about 1-2 minutes per side until a nice crust forms. The inside should remain rare.

Step 3

Remove the beef from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes.

Step 4

Meanwhile, prepare the marinade by combining the apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, honey, minced garlic, and grated ginger in a bowl. Mix well until the honey is dissolved.

Step 5

Once the beef has rested, slice it thinly across the grain.

Step 6

Arrange the beef slices in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Let the beef marinate for at least 15 minutes to absorb the flavors.

Step 7

While the beef is marinating, chop the green onions and slice the radishes.

Step 8

After marinating, arrange the beef slices on a serving platter.

Step 9

Garnish the beef with chopped green onion, sliced radish, and toasted sesame seeds.

Step 10

Serve immediately and enjoy your soy-free beef tataki.
