  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons Ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 cup Unsalted butter
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup Sour cream
  • 2 cups Apples, peeled and diced

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan with butter and line it with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Set aside.

Step 3

In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar together using an electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.

Step 4

Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in the vanilla extract.

Step 5

Gently fold in the sour cream until just combined.

Step 6

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.

Step 7

Fold in the diced apples gently ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.

Step 8

Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.

Step 9

Bake in the preheated oven for 55-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean.

Step 10

Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
