  • 1 medium Yellow onion, diced

  • 1 teaspoon Ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 6 Sandwich buns
  • 0 Optional toppings: shredded cheese, sliced avocado, sliced jalapeños, salsa, or sour cream

Directions

Step 1

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Season the beef chuck roast with salt and black pepper on all sides.

Sear the beef in the skillet for 3-4 minutes per side until browned. Transfer the beef to a slow cooker.
