Ingredients

  • 4 count Rooibos tea bags
  • 1 liter Boiling water
  • 3 tablespoons Honey (or syrup of choice)
  • 1 count Orange
  • 1 count Lemon
  • 10 leaves Fresh mint leaves
  • 3 cups Ice cubes

Directions

Step 1

Bring 1 liter of water to a boil in a kettle or saucepan.

Step 2

Place the rooibos tea bags into a heatproof pitcher and pour the boiling water over them.

Step 3

Allow the tea to steep for 5-7 minutes until the flavor is fully infused. Adjust steeping time for desired strength.

Step 4

While the tea steeps, juice the orange and the lemon, and set the juice aside. Reserve a few slices of each for garnish, if desired.

Step 5

Once the tea has steeped, remove the tea bags and stir in the honey (or syrup) until fully dissolved. Adjust sweetness to taste.

Step 6

Add the freshly squeezed orange and lemon juice to the tea and mix well.

Step 7

Let the tea cool to room temperature before refrigerating it for at least 1 hour (or until chilled).
