Ingredients

  • 2 cans (8 oz each) Crescent roll dough
  • 16 oz Cream cheese
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 stick (1/2 cup), melted Unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp Ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 cup Granulated sugar (for topping)
  • 2 tbsp Honey

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.

Step 2

Unroll one can of crescent roll dough and press it into the bottom of the prepared baking dish, stretching it to cover the entire surface.

Step 3

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, 1 cup of granulated sugar, and the vanilla extract. Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth and creamy.

Step 4

Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the layer of crescent roll dough in the baking dish.

Step 5

Unroll the second can of crescent roll dough and carefully place it on top of the cream cheese layer. Gently press to cover the filling completely.

Step 6

Pour the melted butter evenly over the top layer of dough.

Step 7

In a small bowl, mix 1/4 cup of granulated sugar with 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the melted butter layer.

Step 8

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.

Step 9

Remove from the oven and let the Sopapilla Cheesecake cool for at least 30 minutes. This will help the filling set.

Step 10

For an optional touch of sweetness, drizzle honey over the top before serving.

Step 11

Slice into squares or rectangles and serve as a dessert or sweet treat. Enjoy!
