Ingredients

  • 4 cups Water
  • 2 tablespoons Black tea leaves or tea bags
  • 1 stick Cinnamon stick
  • 5 pods Cardamom pods
  • 4 whole Cloves
  • 1 inch Fresh ginger (sliced)
  • 4 tablespoons Sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1 cup Milk

Directions

Step 1

In a medium-sized saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over medium heat.

Step 2

Once the water is boiling, add the cinnamon stick, cardamom pods, cloves, and ginger slices.

Step 3

Cover the saucepan and let the spices simmer for 5 minutes to release their flavors.

Step 4

Add the black tea leaves or tea bags to the simmering water and let it steep for 3-5 minutes, depending on how strong you want your tea.

Stir in the sugar and continue to simmer until fully dissolved.
