Ingredients

  • 170 grams Unsalted butter
  • 150 grams Brown sugar
  • 100 grams Granulated sugar
  • 2 pieces Large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla extract
  • 300 grams All-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons Cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 220 grams Semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a small microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter until just fully melted, then let it cool slightly to avoid overheating.

Step 3

In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar, whisking until the mixture is smooth and creamy.

Step 4

Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

Step 5

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt.

Step 6

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Step 7

Fold in the chocolate chips evenly throughout the dough using a spatula.

Step 8

Scoop out about 2 tablespoons of dough for each cookie and roll into balls. Place them on the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Step 9

Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 9-11 minutes, or until the edges are set and the centers look slightly underbaked.

Step 10

Remove the baking sheets from the oven and allow the cookies to cool on the trays for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. Enjoy!
