  • 0.5 cups Warm water (110°F/45°C)

  • 3 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 0.5 cups Milk (warm)
  • 4 tablespoons Unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Italian seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Directions

Step 1

In a small bowl, combine the warm water, yeast, and sugar. Stir gently and allow it to sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour and salt. Add the olive oil, milk, and the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.

Step 3

Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Alternatively, use a stand mixer with a dough hook attachment for 5-6 minutes.

Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp towel, and allow it to rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
