Ingredients

  • 250 grams Snow peas
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon Rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Honey
  • 1 clove Garlic
  • 2 teaspoons Sesame seeds
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 bowl Ice cubes

Directions

Step 1

Wash the snow peas thoroughly and trim the ends by snapping or cutting off the tips, removing the string if necessary.

Step 2

Bring a medium-sized pot of water to a boil and add a pinch of salt.

Step 3

Blanch the snow peas by quickly boiling them for about 1-2 minutes until they turn bright green and remain crisp.

Step 4

Prepare a large bowl of ice water while the snow peas are boiling.

Step 5

Immediately transfer the blanched snow peas to the ice water to stop the cooking process and retain their vibrant green color. Let them cool for 2-3 minutes.

Step 6

While the snow peas are cooling, prepare the sesame dressing. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, toasted sesame oil, rice vinegar, honey, and finely minced garlic until well combined.

Step 7

Drain the snow peas and pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel or paper towel.

Step 8

Place the snow peas in a serving bowl and pour the sesame dressing over them. Toss gently to coat the snow peas evenly.

Step 9

Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds over the dressed snow peas for added flavor and texture.

Step 10

Serve immediately as a side dish or refrigerate for up to 1 hour before serving. Enjoy!
