Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1.5 teaspoons baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoons baking soda
  • 0.25 teaspoons salt
  • 1.25 cups buttermilk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1.25 cups Snickers or Milky Way bars (chopped)
  • 0.5 cups chocolate syrup
  • 0.5 cups caramel sauce
  • 1 to taste whipped cream (optional)

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.

Step 2

In a medium bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Step 3

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently whisk until just combined. Do not overmix; a few lumps are fine.

Step 4

Chop your Snickers or Milky Way bars into small bite-sized pieces and fold 1 cup of the chopped bars into the pancake batter.

Step 5

Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease with butter or cooking spray.

Step 6

Pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the heated skillet, spreading slightly if needed. Cook for 2-3 minutes until bubbles appear on the surface and the edges look set, then flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes on the other side until golden.

Step 7

Repeat with the remaining batter, greasing the skillet as needed. Keep cooked pancakes warm in a low-temperature oven if desired.

Step 8

To serve, layer the pancakes on a plate and top with additional chopped Snickers or Milky Way bars.

Step 9

Drizzle the pancakes generously with chocolate syrup and caramel sauce. Add whipped cream on top if desired.

Step 10

Serve immediately and enjoy this candy-inspired breakfast!
