Ingredients

  • 4 pounds Pork spare ribs
  • 2 tablespoons Paprika
  • 2 tablespoons Brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon Onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon Cayenne pepper
  • 0.25 cup Apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Yellow mustard
  • 1.5 cups Barbecue sauce

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 275°F (135°C).

Step 2

In a small bowl, combine the paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper to create a dry rub.

Step 3

Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs by sliding a knife under it and pulling it away with your fingers. Use a paper towel for a better grip if necessary.

Step 4

Rub the dry mix evenly over both sides of the ribs. Make sure the ribs are well coated.

Step 5

Place the ribs meat side up on a large baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Wrap them tightly with another piece of foil, creating a sealed packet.

Step 6

Bake in the preheated oven for 3 hours or until the ribs are tender and the meat has pulled away from the ends of the bones.

Step 7

In a small bowl, mix together the apple cider vinegar and yellow mustard. Brush this mixture over the ribs and let them rest for 10 minutes.

Step 8

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.

Step 9

Unwrap the ribs and discard excess liquid. Transfer them to the preheated grill, brushing generously with the barbecue sauce.

Step 10

Grill the ribs for 10 to 15 minutes, flipping once and brushing with additional barbecue sauce, until they are nicely caramelized.

Step 11

Remove the ribs from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Step 12

Serve hot and enjoy!
