Preheat your oven to 275°F (135°C).
Remove the silver membrane from the underside of the ribs by sliding a knife under it and pulling it off using a paper towel for grip.
In a small bowl, mix together the smoked paprika, brown sugar, kosher salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper to create a dry rub.
Drizzle the olive oil over both sides of the ribs and massage it into the meat.
Evenly coat both sides of the ribs with the dry rub and gently press the seasoning into the meat.
Place the seasoned ribs on a large sheet of aluminum foil with the meat side up. Fold the edges of the foil up slightly to form a shallow tray.
In a small bowl, mix the apple cider vinegar and water, then pour it around the ribs to keep them moist during cooking.
Tightly wrap the ribs in the aluminum foil, sealing all edges to create a packet, and place it on a baking sheet.
Bake the ribs in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, or until the meat is tender and pulls away from the bones easily.
Remove the ribs from the oven and carefully open the foil packet to release the steam.
Preheat your oven's broiler to high.
Brush a generous layer of BBQ sauce over the ribs, then place them uncovered under the broiler for 5-7 minutes, or until the sauce caramelizes and becomes sticky. Keep a close eye to avoid burning.
Remove the ribs from the oven and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing between the bones.
Serve warm with additional BBQ sauce on the side if desired.
