Ingredients

  • 250 grams Pasta (linguine or fettuccine)
  • 150 grams Smoked salmon
  • 200 ml Heavy cream
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 whole Lemon (zested and juiced)
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh dill (chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 30 grams Parmesan cheese (grated)
  • 0 to taste Salt
  • 0 to taste Black pepper (freshly ground)
  • 100 ml Pasta water

Directions

Step 1

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve 100 ml of pasta water before draining, then set the pasta aside.

Step 2

In a large pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.

Step 3

Lower the heat and stir in the heavy cream. Add the lemon zest, lemon juice, and reserved pasta water. Stir gently and bring the mixture to a simmer.

Step 4

Cut the smoked salmon into bite-sized pieces and add it to the sauce. Cook for 1-2 minutes, just to warm the salmon without overcooking it.

Step 5

Add the cooked pasta to the pan and toss to coat evenly. Stir in the chopped fresh dill and grated Parmesan cheese.

Step 6

Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. Mix well and let the pasta absorb some of the sauce for 1-2 minutes.

Step 7

Serve immediately, garnished with additional dill, Parmesan, and a fresh lemon wedge if desired.
