Ingredients

  • 8 ounces Cream cheese
  • 6 ounces Smoked salmon
  • 2 stalks Green onions (finely chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh dill (finely chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 0.5 teaspoons Garlic powder
  • 0.25 teaspoons Black pepper
  • 0.5 cup Walnuts (finely chopped, optional for coating)
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley (chopped, optional for coating)

Directions

Step 1

Place the cream cheese in a large mixing bowl and let it come to room temperature for easier mixing.

Step 2

Flake the smoked salmon into small pieces using your hands or a fork, and add it to the cream cheese.

Step 3

Add the chopped green onions, fresh dill, lemon juice, garlic powder, and black pepper to the bowl. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well combined. You can use a spatula or your hands for easier mixing.

Step 4

Shape the mixture into a ball using your hands. If the mixture is too sticky, chill it in the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes before shaping.

Step 5

If desired, prepare the coating by combining the finely chopped walnuts and parsley in a shallow dish or on a large plate.

Step 6

Gently roll the salmon ball in the walnut and parsley mixture until evenly coated on all sides.

Step 7

Wrap the salmon ball in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld.

Step 8

Serve the smoked salmon ball chilled with crackers, bread slices, or fresh vegetable sticks.
