Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Flour tortillas (large)
  • 225 grams Cream cheese (softened)
  • 200 grams Smoked salmon
  • 12 pieces Asparagus spears
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh dill (chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh chives (chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 0.5 teaspoons Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoons Black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Olive oil

Directions

Step 1

Rinse the asparagus spears and trim off the woody ends. Blanch the asparagus in a pot of boiling salted water for 2-3 minutes, then transfer to an ice water bath to cool. Drain and pat dry.

Step 2

In a medium mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, chopped dill, chopped chives, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix until smooth and well blended.

Step 3

Lay one flour tortilla on a clean surface. Spread a thin, even layer of the cream cheese mixture over the entire tortilla.

Step 4

Place a layer of smoked salmon slices over the cream cheese, leaving a small border around the edges.

Step 5

Arrange 3 cooked asparagus spears horizontally across the bottom third of the tortilla.

Step 6

Gently roll up the tortilla tightly, starting at the edge where the asparagus is placed, to form a log. Use olive oil on your fingertips to seal the edge if needed.

Step 7

Repeat the process with the remaining tortillas and ingredients.

Step 8

Wrap each rolled tortilla in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, allowing the pinwheels to set.

Step 9

Unwrap the rolls and use a sharp knife to slice them into 1-inch pieces to create pinwheels.

Step 10

Arrange the pinwheels on a serving platter and garnish with extra dill or chives if desired. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
