Ingredients

  • 2 rolls Ciabatta bread
  • 200 grams Smoked salmon
  • 120 grams Gruyere cheese
  • 1 cup Arugula
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 teaspoons Olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Butter
  • 0.5 teaspoons Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoons Black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Slice the ciabatta rolls in half horizontally and lightly brush the outer sides with olive oil to help them crisp up during grilling.

Step 2

Spread 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard on the inner side of each roll.

Step 3

Layer 100 grams of smoked salmon onto the bottom half of each roll.

Step 4

Slice the Gruyere cheese thinly and evenly distribute 60 grams onto the smoked salmon layer for each panini.

Step 5

Top the cheese with arugula. Sprinkle a pinch of salt and black pepper evenly over the arugula for enhanced flavor.

Step 6

Close the paninis with the top halves of the ciabatta rolls.

Step 7

Heat a panini press or a grill pan over medium heat. Add 1 tablespoon of butter to the surface to prevent sticking and add extra flavor.

Step 8

Place the paninis on the press or pan and cook for about 3-4 minutes, pressing down gently until the bread is golden brown and crispy, and the cheese has melted.

Step 9

Carefully remove the paninis from the heat. Let them rest for 1-2 minutes before cutting them in half for easier serving.

Step 10

Serve warm and enjoy!
