Ingredients

  • 1 piece Hoagie roll
  • 6 ounces Sliced turkey (deli-style or freshly roasted)
  • 2 slices Provolone cheese
  • 0.5 piece Green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 0.5 piece Yellow onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon Butter
  • 2 tablespoons Mayonnaise
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Optional: pickled jalapeños

Directions

Step 1

Cut the hoagie roll in half lengthwise and lightly toast it in a toaster or on a griddle. Set aside.

Step 2

In a medium skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.

Add the sliced green bell pepper and yellow onion to the skillet. Sauté for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are softened and lightly caramelized. Season with salt and black pepper. Remove from the heat and set aside.
