Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Bone-in pork chops
  • 24 ounces Sauerkraut
  • 1 medium Yellow onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves Garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Caraway seeds
  • 1 large Apple, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 cup Chicken broth
  • 0.5 teaspoons Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoons Ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil

Directions

Step 1

Season the pork chops with salt and pepper on both sides.

Step 2

Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the pork chops for 2–3 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove from heat and set aside.

In the slow cooker, add half of the sauerkraut, followed by a layer of sliced onions, minced garlic, and apple slices.
