Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 24 oz Spaghetti sauce
  • 1 cup Water
  • 15 oz Ricotta cheese
  • 1.5 cups Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 0.25 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large Egg
  • 10 sheets Lasagna noodles (uncooked)
  • 1 to coat slow cooker Nonstick cooking spray

Directions

Step 1

Spray the inside of a 6-quart slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray to prevent sticking.

Step 2

In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned and fully cooked, about 6-8 minutes. Drain any excess fat.

Step 3

Stir the spaghetti sauce and water into the cooked beef. Set aside.

Step 4

In a medium bowl, combine ricotta cheese, 1 cup mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, and the egg. Mix well until evenly combined.

Step 5

Spread 1 cup of meat sauce on the bottom of the prepared slow cooker.

Step 6

Break lasagna noodles into pieces to fit into the slow cooker in a single layer over the sauce.

Step 7

Top the noodles with one-third of the ricotta cheese mixture, then one-third of the remaining meat sauce. Repeat the layers (noodles, ricotta mixture, meat sauce) two more times, ending with the meat sauce on top.

Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese over the top.

Cover the slow cooker with the lid and cook on LOW for 4-5 hours, or until the noodles are tender and the lasagna is heated through.

Turn off the heat, let the lasagna sit for 10 minutes, and then cut into slices to serve.
