  • 28 ounces Crushed tomatoes (28-ounce can)
  • 0.5 cups Chicken broth
  • 0.25 cups Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • 4 cups Optional: cooked pasta or rice for serving

Directions

Step 1

Season the chicken breasts on both sides with salt, pepper, and 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning.

Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken breasts for 2 minutes per side until lightly browned. Transfer the chicken to the slow cooker.
