  • 0.5 cup heavy cream

Directions

Step 1

Season the beef chuck roast with salt and black pepper on all sides.

Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the beef on all sides until browned, about 3-4 minutes per side. Transfer the beef to the slow cooker.
