Ingredients

  • 2 racks pork ribs
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 2 cups BBQ sauce

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 275°F (135°C).

Step 2

Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs using a knife to loosen and then pulling it off with your fingers or a paper towel.

Step 3

In a small bowl, mix together the paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper to create the dry rub.

Step 4

Generously apply the dry rub over both sides of the ribs, pressing it into the meat.

Step 5

Wrap each rack of ribs in aluminum foil, creating a sealed packet.

Step 6

Place the wrapped ribs onto a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 2.5 to 3 hours, or until the meat is tender and pulling away from the bones.

Step 7

Remove the ribs from the oven and carefully open the foil. Drain any juices.

Step 8

Brush a generous amount of BBQ sauce on both sides of the ribs.

Step 9

For best results, finish the ribs on a grill: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F or 200°C), and grill the ribs for about 5-10 minutes per side, basting with more BBQ sauce, until you get a nice char.

Step 10

If you don't have a grill, you can broil them in your oven on high for about 5 minutes, watching closely to avoid burning.

Step 11

Remove the ribs from the grill or oven, let them rest for about 5 minutes, then cut between the bones to serve.
