Directions

Step 1

Rinse the dried porcini mushrooms under cold water to remove any dirt or debris.

In a large pot, bring 8 cups of water to a boil. Add the rinsed mushrooms and bay leaf. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 30 minutes to allow the mushrooms to rehydrate and infuse the broth with their rich flavor.
