Ingredients

  • 500 grams lean ground turkey
  • 50 grams grated Parmesan cheese
  • 50 grams whole wheat breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 0.5 small onion, finely grated
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 pieces whole grain burger buns
  • 4 pieces lettuce leaves
  • 8 pieces tomato slices
  • 4 tablespoons light mayonnaise or Greek yogurt

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, grated Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, parsley, minced garlic, grated onion, egg, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

Divide the mixture into four equal portions and form into burger patties about 1/2 inch thick.
