Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups Water
  • 0.5 cups Unsweetened almond milk (or any low-calorie milk alternative)
  • 2 pieces Black tea bags
  • 0.25 teaspoons Ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 teaspoons Ground ginger
  • 0.125 teaspoons Ground cardamom
  • 0.125 teaspoons Ground cloves
  • 0.25 teaspoons Vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoons Granulated stevia or your preferred low-calorie sweetener

Directions

Step 1

In a small saucepan, bring 1.5 cups of water to a gentle boil over medium heat.

Step 2

Once the water begins to boil, add the black tea bags, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, and cloves.

Step 3

Reduce the heat to low and let the tea steep for 5 minutes, allowing the spices to infuse.

Step 4

Remove the tea bags and strain the tea (if necessary) to remove any larger spice particles.

Step 5

Stir in the almond milk and increase the heat slightly to warm the mixture. Do not allow it to boil.

Step 6

Add the vanilla extract and sweetener, stirring well to combine.

Step 7

Taste and adjust sweetness or spice levels as desired.

Step 8

Pour the tea into two cups and serve immediately while hot.
