Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 can (12 ounces) evaporated milk
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 5 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons water

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Step 2

In a medium saucepan, combine the granulated sugar and 2 tablespoons of water over medium heat. Stir gently until the sugar dissolves, then stop stirring and let the mixture cook until it turns a golden-brown caramel color, about 8-10 minutes.

Step 3

Quickly pour the caramelized sugar into the bottom of a round 9-inch glass baking dish or metal pie pan, tilting it to coat the bottom evenly. Set aside to harden.

In a blender, combine the sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, whole milk, eggs, and vanilla extract. Blend on medium speed until smooth and well combined.
