Ingredients

  • 113 grams Unsalted butter
  • 170 grams Semi-sweet chocolate
  • 200 grams Granulated sugar
  • 100 grams Brown sugar
  • 3 pieces Large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla extract
  • 95 grams All-purpose flour
  • 30 grams Unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 0.5 teaspoons Salt
  • 100 grams Chocolate chips (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F) and line an 8x8-inch (20x20 cm) baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides for easy removal.

Step 2

In a medium microwave-safe bowl, combine the butter and semi-sweet chocolate. Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring after each, until fully melted and smooth. Allow the mixture to cool slightly.

Step 3

Whisk in the granulated sugar and brown sugar into the chocolate-butter mixture until well combined.

Step 4

Add the eggs, one at a time, whisking vigorously after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
