Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Chicken wings
  • 1 tbsp Baking powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper
  • 0.5 tsp Garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp Paprika
  • 3 tbsp Unsalted butter
  • 0.25 cup Frank's RedHot sauce
  • 1 tbsp Honey (optional for added sweetness)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a large baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper. Place a wire rack on top of the baking sheet to elevate the wings for even crisping.

Step 2

Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. This is key to achieving crispy skin when baking.

Step 3

In a large bowl, toss the chicken wings with baking powder, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika until evenly coated.

Step 4

Place the seasoned wings on the wire rack in a single layer, making sure they do not touch each other for optimal airflow.

Step 5

Bake the wings in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time, until they are golden brown and crispy.

Step 6

While the wings are baking, prepare the Buffalo sauce. In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter, then stir in Frank's RedHot sauce and honey if desired. Warm the mixture until it’s well combined and heated through.

Step 7

Once the wings are done baking, remove them from the oven and let them cool for 2-3 minutes. Transfer the wings to a large bowl, pour the Buffalo sauce over the wings, and toss until evenly coated.

Step 8

Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce (like ranch or blue cheese) and celery or carrot sticks. Enjoy!
