  • 500 grams ground beef (80% lean)
  • 250 grams ground pork
  • 1 cup dry white wine
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 400 grams canned crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup beef stock
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 leaf bay leaf
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0 parmesan cheese, for serving (optional)
  • 0 cooked pasta, for serving

Directions

Step 1

Heat the olive oil in a large, deep sauté pan or Dutch oven over medium heat.

Step 2

Add the chopped onion, carrot, and celery. Sauté until softened, about 5-7 minutes.

Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.
