Ingredients

  • 8 pieces Frog's legs
  • 0.5 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 4 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 4 cloves Garlic cloves, minced
  • 0.5 cup Dry white wine
  • 0.5 cup Chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon juice

Directions

Step 1

Rinse the frog's legs under cold water and pat them dry using paper towels.

Step 2

In a shallow dish, mix the flour with salt and pepper. Dredge the frog's legs in the seasoned flour, shaking off any excess.

Step 3

Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add 2 tablespoons of butter and the olive oil. Once melted and hot, place the frog's legs in the skillet and sauté for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown. Remove them from the skillet and set aside.

Step 4

In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.

Step 5

Deglaze the pan by pouring in the white wine and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes to reduce slightly.

Step 6

Add the chicken broth to the skillet and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.

Step 7

Return the frog's legs to the skillet, spoon the sauce over them, and let them cook gently for 10 minutes until tender and fully cooked through.

Step 8

Stir in the chopped parsley and lemon juice, then adjust the seasoning with additional salt and pepper if needed.

Step 9

Serve the simmered frog's legs hot, with the sauce spooned over them. They pair well with crusty bread, rice, or a side of sautéed vegetables.
