  • 100 grams ricotta cheese
  • 2 tablespoons parsley (fresh, chopped)
  • 1 piece egg (beaten, optional for filling)
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 500 milliliters sunflower oil (or other neutral oil, for frying)

Directions

Step 1

In a medium bowl, crumble the feta cheese. Add the ricotta cheese and mix until smooth and creamy.

Step 2

Stir in the chopped parsley and mix again until evenly combined. If you prefer, stir in the beaten egg to make the filling creamier (optional).

Step 3

Take one phyllo pastry sheet and cut it into three long triangular strips. Cover the remaining phyllo sheets with a damp towel to prevent drying out.
