  • 16 pieces large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 8 slices bacon, cut in half crosswise
  • 8 pieces water chestnuts, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, freshly grated
  • 16 pieces toothpicks
  • 1 as needed non-stick cooking spray

Directions

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with foil. Spray the foil with non-stick cooking spray for easy cleanup.

Step 2

In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, and freshly grated ginger to make a glaze. Set aside.

Take one half-slice of bacon and lay it flat. Place a shrimp and a slice of water chestnut at one end of the bacon. Roll it up snugly, then secure the roll with a toothpick.
